School Programs

The Allentown Art Museum offers an array of tours for children and young adults of all ages. Guided visits last 45 minutes to one hour and are theme-based. Gallery explorations last approximately 1-1/2 hours and utilize hands-on, in-gallery activities to engage students with artwork through a selected theme.
  • Pre-K to Grade 2: Guided visits include Just Imagine and Treasure Quest . Gallery explorations include Doodlebugs and Collection Connection. 
  • Grades 3 to 5: Guided visits include Sense-Sational Art!, Looking for Clues, and special exhibitions. Gallery explorations include Passport to Art, From All Angles, By Design, Drawing on Experience, and The Wright 3. 
  • Grades 6 to 8: Guided visits include Looking for Clues and special exhibitions. Gallery explorations include Drawing on Experience, The Wright 3, From All Angles, and By Design.
  • Grades 9 to 12: Guided visits include Looking for Clues and special exhibitions. Gallery explorations include By Design, Drawing on Experience, and The Natural World.
