Hear about Pictures at an Exhibition

Composer Larry Lipkis will discuss his upcoming world premiere of Pictures at an Exhibition 2018, which will be performed on March 10 & 11 with the Allentown Symphony Orchestra. Lipkis also will present the final product of a year-long partnership between the Allentown Art Museum and the Symphony, the 2018 Composer’s Competition. Composers of all ages and backgrounds were encouraged to visit the Museum and choose a painting to be the inspiration for a musical composition. Learn about the winners tonight.
