Every Thursday the Museum’s galleries are open till 8 p.m., with free entry after 4 p.m. and most nights a free tour at 6 p.m.

FOLDING: A dance performance by Muhlenberg Dance Group

Come be thrilled by an original in-gallery dance performance inspired by the works on view in our exhibition Above the Fold: New Expressions in Origami. Karen Dearborn, director of dance for Muhlenberg College,choreographs Folding to show off the talents of some of the area’s most promiosing dancers while exploring the theme of folding.

Karen Dearborn has choreographed more than eighty works in concert dance, theatre, and musical theatre, including National Tours of the Tony Award-winning National Theatre of the Deaf and Equity theatre companies. Her research interests include performance studies, disability studies, and dance pedagogy, and her writing has been published in the Journal of Dance Education and the book Performing Magic on the Western Stage. She has presented papers at numerous conferences including National Dance Educators Organization (NDEO), Congress on Research in Dance, and the National Dance Association. Currently she is Treasurer of the American College Dance Festival Association (ACDFA) a member of CORPS de Ballet International, NDEO, Society of Dance History Scholars and AEA.  Distinguished teaching awards include the Limback and the Spira.
