It is recommended that you read these guidelines carefully before completing our
Online Internship Application Form.

The Allentown Art Museum provides invaluable experience in various departments by offering student internship opportunities. College students entering their junior or senior year, recent graduates and graduate students are eligible. Internships are available throughout the year on a full-time or part-time basis with opportunities for students in business administration, development and marketing, art education, museum studies, textile or fiber art studies, and art history. Preference is given to students able to commit to a full semester who are receiving academic credit. For-credit internships are arranged through the student and at the schools’ discretion. All internships are unpaid.

An internship at the Allentown Art Museum is a prearranged, structured learning experience scheduled within a specific time frame. The experience must be relevant to the student’s academic and professional goals. All internships are under direct supervision of museum staff. Each museum department supervises its own interns - qualifications, duration of assignments and responsibilities vary accordingly.
