Holiday Family Fun!
DECEMBER 26-30, 2007
We’re celebrating the holidays at the Museum with five days of special programs. Each day we’ll have drop-in art workshops, family-friendly guided visits of special exhibitions Tiffany by Design and Alphonse Mucha: Art Nouveau Extraordinaire, and science activities led by educators from the Da Vinci Science Center. So make sure the Museum is on your holiday list! All activities are free with special exhibition admission.

One cart features our always popular monthly themed art project, while the second cart is stocked with art puzzles, children’s artful books, in-gallery activities, and much more. We’ve also added a new activity–Artwork of the Month. Each month, we’ll highlight a piece of art from the Museum's collection so you and your family can get to know us a little better. Sunday Artventures is part of FREE Sundays at the Museum.

In Art Ways, a unique interactive learning center, we throw caution to the wind and invite your family to look, learn, play, read, create, and yes, even touch together! Through a variety of hands-on, activity-based stations, your family members can make themselves at home in this fun-filled space while learning all about the world of art. Art Ways is always open during regular Museum hours, free with Museum admission.

We live in a fascinating world full of the splendor and harmony of nature’s pattern, design, and color. It’s pretty amazing, don’t you agree? Inspired by Tiffany by Design and Alphonse Mucha: Art Nouveau Extraordinaire, Art Ways gives you the opportunity to observe and explore beautiful details created by Mother Nature that have inspired artists for centuries.
Family Time
FIRST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH, 1 PM AND 3 PM
Looking for some family fun on a Saturday afternoon? Join us on the first Saturday of every month, October through April, as we introduce families to the Museum’s permanent collection through hour-long thematic, interactive gallery programs. Designed for children six years and older accompanied by an adult friend, this is an afternoon of touchable objects, lively activities, and engaging discussions that will bring works of art to life in new and exciting ways. Meet in the SOTA Foyer. Free with Museum admission.
