Artventures is on the move! Starting in October, you’ll find two new Artventures art carts in the galleries. We’ve also added a new activity–Artwork of the Month. Each month, we’ll highlight a piece of art from the Museum's collection so you and your family can get to know us a little better. Sunday Artventures is part of FREE Sundays at the Museum.

Art Ways Interactive Family Gallery

In Art Ways, a unique interactive learning center, we throw caution to the wind and invite your family to look, learn, play, read, create, and yes, even touch together! Through a variety of hands-on, activity-based stations, your family members can make themselves at home in this fun-filled space while learning all about the world of art. Art Ways is always open during regular Museum hours, free with Museum admission.

Through the Looking Glass

OCTOBER 7– MAY 25

Look very, very closely. What do you see? Insects flit, moonbeams sparkle, water ripples, and petals cascade. We live in a fascinating world full of the splendor and harmony of nature’s pattern, design, and color. It’s pretty amazing, don’t you agree? Inspired by Tiffany by Design and Alphonse Mucha: Art Nouveau Extraordinaire, Art Ways gives you the opportunity to observe and explore beautiful details created by Mother Nature that have inspired artists for centuries.

FIRST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH, 1 PM AND 3 PM

Designed for children six years and older accompanied by an adult friend, this is an afternoon of touchable objects, lively activities, and engaging discussions that will bring works of art to life in new and exciting ways.
