FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 11, 2012

The Allentown Art Museum and various arts organizations and local businesses partner for a rockin’ time in 2012.

Allentown, Pa. –The Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley is partnering with Discover Lehigh Valley, The Morning Call and various local arts organizations and businesses to bring you Rock Through The Valley, a unique experience of Rock n’ Roll related events in the community.

Rock Through the Valley is a cooperative effort to go hand-in-hand with the Art Museum’s
“Who Shot Rock & Roll: A Photographic History, 1955 to the Present” exhibit. “We wanted to unify the arts community and give residents and visitors a schedule of related events throughout the Valley,” said Elsbeth Haymon, Director of Marketing and Development for the Allentown Art Museum. “The Who Shot Rock & Roll” exhibit is a blockbuster installation that is coming to us from Brooklyn, New York, and because the subject of rock n’ roll is so widespread,  we wanted to take the opportunity to call attention to other organizations in the arts community that have the same theme going on at their location.”

Rock Through the Valley events run from February 2012 through May 2012, and kick off in January with a website created by Discover Lehigh Valley. You can find information about all the rock related events and promotions going on throughout the year by visiting
