We love our volunteers! You play a vital role in helping carry out AAM’s goal of using art to enlighten, engage, energize and empower our Lehigh Valley community. Help us bring the power of art to the community and the vibrancy of the community into art.

Society of the Arts (SOTA)

Launched in 1964, SOTA is a non-profit women’s service organization that actively supports the Allentown Art Museum. This vital and vibrant organization, 200 members strong, volunteers in the Museum in a variety of roles and assists with fundraising goals.

AAM Auxiliary

Established in 1946, and with over 200 women and men members, the Auxiliary is open to those who want to benefit the Museum and promote public interest in the arts. The Auxiliary supports the Museum’s most pressing needs through social gatherings, excursions and other fundraising activities. To join, become a Friend at any level, then contribute an additional $15. Membership cards are available at the front desk or call 610-791-0368.

Other Ways to Volunteer

Our volunteers serve as docents, work in the Museum store, staff hands-on art stations at events, help with office paperwork, and assist the curatorial staff with researching, cataloging and prepping for new exhibits. Interested? Call 610.432.4333, x154 to get involved.
