A drum concert led by “Moe” Jerant and the Lehigh Valley Drum Circle will fill the galleries with rhythm and music.

Start your evening at the Museum with good spirits and good friends in our upstairs Art Ways Lounge. Social Still Distillery will be providing samples of some of their many varieties of spirits as well as a sample of one of their signature cocktails to kick off the night. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Third Thursday Photography Workshops
In honor of our Year of Photography, visit the Crayola Classroom for a photography workshop with local artist Claire Marcus. Focus on color, composition and storytelling through images. Bring your own smartphone or digital camera to use during the workshop, or borrow one of ours. There will be a group show of participant photos in Art Ways Interactive Family Gallery on September 2–30.

Documentary Film Series: TRex
TRex is an intimate comingofage story about a new kind of American heroine. For the first time, women’s boxing was included in the 2012 Olympics, and fighting for the United States is Claressa “TRex Shields, just 17 years old and by far the youngest competitor. From the hardknock streets of Flint, Michigan, Claressa is undefeated and utterly confident. Her fierceness extends beyond the ring to protecting her family, even when their instability and addictions threaten to derail her dream.
