Admission to the Museum and the permanent collection is free every Sunday thanks to generous support from City Center Allentown, the Gadomski Foundation and the Sylvia Perkin Perpetual Charitable Trust.

Art Ways Interactive Family Gallery
Sundays are full of artistic adventures for kids at the Allentown Art Museum. Explore the Museum to win a prize by completing our Treasure Hunts. Create an original work of art in the Crayola Classroom. Choose independent art activities in the Art Ways gallery and lounge.

Carmen & Geoffrey (80 mins)
This intimate documentary follows the careers of two remarkable personalities: Carmen de Lavallade, a dynamic dancer and choreographer with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and her husband, Geoffrey Holder, a Trinidad–born choreographer, set and costume designer and painter with productions such as The Wiz.

1–3 p.m.
Recycled Sounds with Dendê Macêdo
In honor of Black History Month, artist–in–residence Dendê Macêdo’s will guide visitors in making instruments out of found materials, using works by noted African American artists in our collection as a springboard for inspiration. Free.

2 p.m.
Free guided tour
No reservation is needed to join this docent-guided tour of the special exhibition Women of Vision: National Geographic Photographers on Assignment, just check in at the front desk.
