Artist Statement

“Art is at once personal and public. I paint and draw what I personally find beautiful or moving. While I may enjoy these images myself, if my work should give someone else a moment of pleasure, pause or escape, then I have achieved both personally and publicly. The precise moment when light, movement, texture, color and context coalesce and create a particular language can speak to everyone across and through time and place.”
