The Allentown Art Museum is seeking a dynamic intern for a Human Resource Internship for the Fall of 2021, beginning in mid-October.

This individual’s responsibilities will focus on assisting the HR manager in handling administrative tasks including creating/updating employee files, auditing documentation, auditing and updating timekeeping and payroll systems, assisting with drafting communications. Additionally, this individual will assist with recruitment, job postings, applicant logs, screening of candidates, and onboarding documentation.

This individual will complete the internship with working knowledge and experience in documentation, legal posting/paperwork requirements, recruitment and onboarding processes.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, please note that this internship is hybrid and therefore will occur both in-person and on a virtual platform. Any physical interactions will strictly adhere to social distancing and hygienic measures as mandated by the Pennsylvania State policy.

Qualifications:

Experience and/or coursework in communications, business, or human resources is required. The ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively is also necessary.

Compensation:

The Allentown Art Museum is proud to offer stipends to Interns accepted into the Fall 2021 program. Other benefits include a complimentary Student Membership which gives access to discounts at several local shops and eateries, as well as a discount at the Museum Store.

Stipends are provided at the end of the semester and are dependent upon the completion of the program.
