Max Weintraub, AAM President & CEO
I’m excited to share that the Allentown Art Museum—your always-free hub for art, culture, and community in the heart of the Lehigh Valley—was one of only six museums nationwide invited to attend a recent convening exploring the connection between art and wellness. From October 15 to 17, five AAM staff joined other museum colleagues at the Heartland Whole Health Institute in Bentonville, Arkansas, to develop programs that promote the mental and physical well-being of our communities. You can read more about it HERE.
This invitation from the renowned Art Bridges Foundation recognized our leadership in using art to support health and wellness, especially among underserved populations. AAM programs such as Art Can (for adults with Alzheimer’s and dementia), Art from the Heart (offered free to families through Valley Health Partners), and Gallery Flow (introducing mindfulness to visitors from Ripple Community and Daybreak of Allentown) are just a few examples of this vital ongoing work.
Attending this national convening reflects our continued commitment to creating positive change through art and making a meaningful impact on everyone who walks through our doors. With your support of our Annual Fund campaign, we can continue to expand this impact—bringing inspiring exhibitions, engaging programs, and transformative educational experiences to more than 60,000 visitors each year. Your generosity makes all we do possible.
Twice each year we kindly ask you to please consider making a gift to our Annual Fund campaign. Your support ensures that we can continue our work and succeed in our mission as a vital cultural resource that’s accessible to all.
Please consider making a gift to our Annual Fund today to help sustain and grow this important work. You can donate now by clicking on the button below or by calling 610-432-4333 ext. 154 to make your donation with a credit card over the phone.
