What are the Museum hours?

The Museum is open Thursday-Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Every Third Thursday, we are open 11 a.m.-8 p.m. to allow visitors to explore the galleries at night.

How much is admission and parking?

Admission to the Museum is FREE thanks to our generous supporters. Free parking is also available in the lot next to the Museum at the corner of Fifth and Linden streets.

What kind of exhibitions are available?

The first floor of the Museum is dedicated to our permanent collections – this includes our American Galleries and our Kress Collection. The second floor is dedicated to our temporary exhibitions. More information can be found here.

Do you offer tours?

We offer a variety of tour options, including guided tours, school tours, adult tours, and self-guided tours. More information can be found here.

Can you offer appraisals of artwork?

The Allentown Art Museum cannot offer appraisals or authentications of artwork. If you have an object you would like to have valued or authenticated, The Museum recommends contacting the Appraisers Association of America at 212-889-5404 ext. 14 or visit AppraisersAssoc.org. For anyone interested in the services of a conservator, please contact the American Institute for Conservation at Conservation-US.org.

Can I host an event at the AAM?

With spaces that can accommodate up to 130 guests, the Art Museum is the perfect place for intimate dinners, holiday parties, networking events, and more. Rental options include the Arts Park View Event Space, located in the front of the Museum, and the Auxiliary Community Gallery, located on the Museum’s lower level. Learn more here.

Is the Museum accessible to those with different abilities?

Everyone is welcome at the Museum. We strive to offer features that are accessible to all audiences.

The main entrance of the Museum on Fifth Street is equipped with an entrance ramp and automatic doors.

Manual wheelchairs are available at the front desk at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis. To request assistance from the parking area to the entrance, please call the front desk at 610-432-4333 ext. 110.

Accessible restrooms are available on the first and second floors. Accessible baby-changing facilities are available in the restrooms.

Service animals for visitors with disabilities, strollers, and diaper bags are allowed in the Museum.

We also offer various programs and accessibility elements. This includes programs such as Sensory Saturday and Art Can,  a large print gallery guide for visitors who are visually impaired, and sensory kits visitors can use during their visit.
