At the Allentown Art Museum we are celebrating a “Summer of Tiffany” in 2025! We have a full schedule of programs planned from spring through fall related to the unveiling of our two Tiffany windows and a special summer exhibition of Tiffany lamps. As always, admission to the Museum is free every day we are open, Thursday-Sunday 11 a.m.-4 p.m., and there’s free parking in our lot.

Third Thursday Art Workshop: Mosaics with Kim Hogan
Using various colors of glass, you’ll create small artworks that can be hung up. Kim will assist participants by cutting their glass and instructing visitors on how to create mosaic art. SIGN UP FOR THE WORKSHOP HERE.

Dynamic Conversation: Diane Rousseau
Join us for a presentation by Diane Rousseau, the conservator charged with restoring our Tiffany windows. Rousseau brings unparalleled expertise to her craft, with an impressive portfolio that includes the conservation of the Hartwell Memorial Window for the Art Institute of Chicago and projects for renowned institutions such as the Worcester Art Museum, the MFA Boston, and the Corning Museum of Glass. ArtVentures: Magic Mosaics
Guided art making for all ages. Using Model Magic and glass marbles, visitors of all ages will learn the process of making a mosaic. Various colors of glass marbles will be available for use. Art making for the whole family! FREE


First & Third Fridays in May & June • noon-3 p.m.
Field Trip Fridays: Stained-glass Window Hangings
After a visit to the windows, homeschool students and their families will explore color, pattern, symmetry, and shape by creating their own three-paneled window hanging using contact paper, tissue paper, washi paper, and string.


Saturdays & Sundays in June • 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
ArtVentures: Tissue-paper Suncatchers
Guided art making for all ages. Develop your own designs to transform into colorful suncatchers. Drawings will first be done on transparency film, followed by cutting and pasting shapes in the design out of tissue paper. Participants will then create frames for their sun-catchers and attach a thread to be hung at home.

Arte y Español
Children and their families can participate in an interactive book reading of Juan y los frijoles mágicos and a talk in Spanish about the lamps on display in Tiffany’s Gardens in Glass. You can then make your own mosaic collages to take home!


Saturdays & Sundays in July • 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
ArtVentures: Color and Light
Guided art making for all ages. Create your own Tiffany-style window by using cellophane to create an artwork that can be hung on a window. Participants will have drawing templates available that can be traced onto the cellophane and cut out to shape, as well as permanent markers to draw directly onto the cellophane to create more detailed designs. Flashlights will be available for use to imitate sunlight beaming through the artwork, showing an example of what the artwork would look like on a window.


Third Friday in July & First & Third Friday in August • noon-3 p.m.
Field Trip Fridays: Floral Luminaries
Homeschoolers and their families are invited to create a mixed-media luminary inspired by the botanical lamps and windows in the Tiffany’s Gardens in Glass exhibition. With the guidance of a Museum educator, students will press dried flowers between wax paper and add color to their luminaries using oil pastels. Throughout the project, students will explore light, color, and nature.


Saturdays & Sundays in August • 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

ArtVentures: Tissue-Paper Lanterns
Guided art making for all ages. Participants will design and create a lantern by cutting shapes out of tissue paper for their design before gluing them onto wax paper. When finished gluing, transparency paper will be placed on the back of the wax paper for support and will be stapled together in a tube shape to create the lantern. Place the tea light inside the tube, and the lantern is complete.
