Art Ways Family Gallery is not the only interactive space here at the Museum. We also maintain two response walls, where visitors can share their insights about and reactions to the art. The response wall outside Scheller Gallery features portraits from the exhibition New Conversations: Renaissance and Baroque Art at the Allentown Art Museum, posing the question: “What are they thinking?” Written out by museumgoers on the provided colorful thought bubbles, comments range from thoughtful and humorous to Gen-Z slang to recreations of the works themselves.
The diversity of the responses is inspiring, written not only in English but in Spanish, Korean, and other languages—even math equations! The New Conversations response wall will remain open to visitors until the exhibition closes, on July 13. Be sure to leave your thought bubble during your next trip to the AAM!
