Thanks to a generous donation from Museum member and supporter Curtis Dretsch, a limited number of full scholarships are available to the Museum’s “Making with the Masters” Summer Camp in 2026.

Making with the Masters is a week-long Museum experience for creative students ages 7–11. Campers will learn about iconic artists such as Rembrandt, Henry Ossawa Tanner, and Faith Ringgold by viewing their works in person, then head to the studio to experiment with techniques and materials inspired by these masters. On Fridays, campers will curate an exhibition featuring the artworks they created throughout the week. There are two different sessions of the Camp, which runs throughout July. Learn more HERE.

To apply for a scholarship that covers two full weeks of Camp, parents should reach out to their child’s teacher, counselor, pastor, or another non-relative who can attest to the family’s financial need. That person should complete this sponsor form on the family’s behalf: Camp Scholarship Sponsor Form.

A separate sponsor form should be completed for each child.

Once the sponsor form is submitted and approved, an AAM staffer will be in touch to complete camp registration.
