Event Details

Explore mindfulness and creativity in a painting workshop led by artist and mental health advocate Michael Freeman. Michael will lead a guided relaxation exercise and teach a flow painting technique to create colorful, abstract paintings. This workshop is free and for ages 12 +, all skills and abilities are welcome. Registration is required.

Michael Freeman is an abstract artist with a vision impairment. His colorful and vibrant pour paintings feature texture so those with vision impairments may experience his artwork. Michael says that making art is a way for him to push the limit with his vision impairment and serves as a creative outlet for stress. He was born and raised in New Jersey and now live with his wife and family in Easton, PA.

This workshop is inspired by the Language of Color exhibition. Freeman uses a diverse palette in his paintings and will encourage visitors to experiment with color and texture through his flow painting technique.
