Sensory Saturdays occur on the second weekend of every month. This hour-long quiet time is designed to offer accessible art experiences for individuals with unique needs and abilities. On Sensory Saturdays we open the Museum early, at 10 a.m., and modify our galleries to make exploration easier for visitors who benefit from reduced sensory input. Modifications including dimming lights, muting audio and video displays, and adding access to calm spaces.
In addition to this dedicated time to explore the galleries, visitors can engage in hands-on artmaking or open creative play with a variety of materials. For full program details, please click here.
