Event Details

Stop by for a paint pouring workshop with local artist Michael Freeman.

Michael Freeman is an abstract artist with a vision impairment known as tunnel vision. His paintings primarily feature tactile components and texture so his artwork can be felt by others with visual impairments. By working with thick layers of paint and embellishments, Michael aims to help the workshop participants create an artwork that activates both visual and tactile senses. Visitors will first add a layer of newspaper onto their canvas, creating texture. Then they will pour fluid paint onto the canvas to create a marble effect. After, participants will finish their artwork by adding embellishments such as pieces of copper to add an interesting visual and texture on the surface of the painting.
