Our Annual Gala Dinner & Auction on Saturday, April 7, 2018 will provide the ideal opportunity to reflect upon our progress in the past year and honor those who have made it possible.

Our 2018 honorees, Mary Ann and Gary Millenbruch, are enthusiastic supporters of the arts and the Allentown Art Museum. Members of the Kress Society for nearly 30 years, the Millenbruchs have hosted dinners, cocktail parties, wine tastings and other events to support major Museum initiatives. They exemplify this year’s Gala theme, “Forging the Future.”

Gary has served on the Museum’s Board of Trustees, 7 years as vice president and more than 4 years as chairman of the board. He chaired the 2006–2008 capital campaign and led the team that raised about $21 million. He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 2001 as its vice chairman and CFO after a 42–year career.

Mary Ann retired from Lehigh Valley Hospital in 1992 as the operating–room supervisor after a 33–year nursing career. She was a US Air Force Reserve Flight Nurse and flew on C–141 Starlifter planes to Rhein Main Air Force Base in Germany to bring back wounded soldiers from the Vietnam War before retiring with the rank of captain. She has taken various art lessons and is a former member of the Bethlehem Palette Club.

Gary believes that the Museum is in a strong strategic position to play an important leadership role in that entire region. “The Museum can provide enormous educational, cultural, social and economic benefits to not only our constituents in the Lehigh Valley but also far beyond,” he says.
