Decorative Arts Corridor
Featuring a selection of color relief prints and pottery made in California and the western United States between 1910 and 1930, this installation of recent acquisitions and loans from private collections complemented the harmonious ideals of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Little Library, on permanent view at the Museum. With a beauty and simplicity that reflected respect for natural forms and materials as well as the value of the handmade, these pieces by Gustave Baumann, Frances Gearhart, Pedro J. Lemos, William S. Rice, and Van Briggle Pottery exemplified the Arts and Crafts Movement in America.
Special thanks to John Rossetti and an anonymous collector.
