The AAM Writer’s Café series invites the community to meet local writers and learn about new releases. On July 29th, Nelson Diaz, a local engineer and real estate investor who fled Castro’s Cuba alone as a teenager, will be visiting the museum to discuss his recently released memoir, “Gracias Fidel”. His is a fascinating story of immigration and the American Dream that offers us important insights into the unique challenges faced by immigrant youth in our communities. Complimentary coffee and refreshments will be provided.
