Create a paper person inspired by turn of the century fashion trends from the exhibition or modern fashion trends.

Fashion has always been an important source of self expression. In New Century, New Woman, fashion trends from the turn of the 20th century are examined. Women carefully considered how they presented themselves as they campaigned as suffragettes. Image and fashion choices continue to be a very important part of a person’s identity today.

Can you think of any modern fashion trends that make a statement about their wearer? Do you have any clothing that’s important to you? As you create your paper person, think about how clothing can make a statement about you.
