Painting with Bellotas Community Workshop
Join artist Daniel Djuro-Goiricelaya to explore art making as a meditative practice, rediscover a sense of play, and break down preconceived notions of what art can be. Participants will individually and collectively create a large piece of art on muslin using dyes and bellotas.
2-4 p.m.
Restoring Petals Community Workshop
Create large paper poppy flowers and roses that will be a part of an exhibition in the Museum’s Community Gallery. Restoring Petals is a community project centered on the intersection of visual arts, performing arts, and mental health. Chloe Cole Wilson will guide participants through heartfelt conversations on the impact of the most recent pandemic, to connect through art making and to use dialogue as a tool to restore our souls, find rest, and cultivate joy.
