AAM Elevator and Restrooms

Experience sound art by sculptor Scott Sherk—in unexpected places! These interventions activate non-gallery spaces in the Museum in surprising ways. While riding the elevator, visitors will experience Elevator Piece (Spatial Sound 13), a mysterious and evocative piece created from underwater field recordings at the Jordan Creek in Lehigh County. In the restrooms, the splashing and bubbling of Fountains of Rome, made during a residency at the American Academy in Rome, provides a playful backdrop.
