Dear Museum visitors, members, supporters,

I am proud to share that in March 2026 the Allentown Art Museum (AAM) was awarded reaccreditation by the American Alliance of Museums—the highest recognition a museum can achieve. Signifying excellence in operations, collections care, and public service, this distinction reflects the strength of this institution and the dedication of our staff, board, volunteers, and community.

Max Weintraub

Over the past three years, AAM’s attendance has grown at an average annual rate of 20 percent. More than 11,000 people have participated in our educational programs, and by the end of this school year more than 2,000 students from area schools will have visited the Museum—the highest number since 2019.

And we are not standing still. This summer we are celebrating the arrival of three works by artists of Puerto Rican heritage on loan from El Museo del Barrio in New York with a diverse lineup of tours, performances, and workshops. Our “Verano Vibrante”—Vibrant Summer—includes hands-on artmaking during Third Thursday Community Art Labs, a Nuyorican Hip-Hop Bash on June 6, and day-long Neighborhood Saturdays starting in July. These free programs, like the works that inspired them, are adding to the rich range of voices and experiences represented in the Museum.

Please help us continue this important work by donating to our spring Annual Fund campaign today. With your help we will be well positioned to continue serving as a vital civic and cultural resource for Allentown and the Lehigh Valley, deepening engagement, expanding access, and reaffirming our belief in the power of art to transform lives.

Until June 30 every dollar you donate will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000.

This wonderful match is thanks to the generosity of the AAM Board. Donate now by clicking the button below or calling 610-432-4333 ext. 154 to make your donation with a credit card over the phone.
